This Christmas, Guglielmo Marconi University has chosen to dedicate the academic community’s customary exchange of greetings to the theme of inclusion and support for the weaker sections of society.
Yesterday evening’s event, entitled “A Special Christmas for the Inclusion of the Last”, was organized in the University’s Aula Magna in collaboration with the Community of Sant’Egidio, which has always been committed in Italy and around the world to supporting the needy, the lonely, and the excluded to restore their dignity and their right to feel part of civil society.
During the event, The President of Unimarconi, Dr. Alessio Acomanni, took the opportunity to introduce to the academic community the new Magnifico Rector, Prof. Marco Abate, who emphasized in his speech the importance of the current mission of Unimarconi, born from the need of a high-quality academic education that could reach everyone everywhere and also the weak segments of society or populations in difficulty in different countries of the world.
This Christmas, Unimarconi has decided to entirely donate the resources intended for Christmas gifts to the Community of Sant’Egidio to contribute to the
traditional Christmas lunch organized by the Community.
